Today we got up bright and early to say goodbye to Yuka. She gave Linds and I the pictures she drew of us, and she also gave me a bookmark from Japan. It has a sting ray on it. I smiled and laughed. We went and checked her in. She did the check-in in Japanese so we had no idea what was going on. There were about 20 kids from Alaska in line with us, which made me kinda sad and miss my best friend. I’m sure I’ll see both of them soon. Yuka gave me the times for her school breaks and told me to visit her again in Japan soon. I gave my parents my patented pleading look. I don’t know if it worked. I hope it did though. We said our goodbyes and I only got a tiny bit teary eyed. I’m going to miss her so much.

I came home and moved back into my room, and then I decided the best way to cope with my feeling was to watch Andromeda. My life is over.
