So...

I was going to try to be more consistent. I wasn't. Whatever.

I didn't really want to have my return post be ones like this one but, I guess what can you do?

Got bad news yesterday. Everything should be okay but... there is news that you never want to hear and this is that kind of news. Yesterday was one of those days that you may not remember the exact date of in a decade, but it is one you will remember for a very long time because pretty much, it is one of the worst days in your life. One of those days. I'm not ready to talk about it. We are not telling people yet. When I am ready, I will talk about it. Until then, I am pretty much begging for patience because... I don't know when I'll be ready. It could be later today, it could be next Monday, it could be a month.

Tomorrow wasn't good, but today isn't that much better in terms of news. My Aunt's boyfriend, who is practically her husband in everything but actual title, had a stroke today and is in ICU still. It doesn't look good.

I am kind of sick of bad news.

Okay so today is pretty much the worst day ever, and the best day ever, But mostly the worst.

I lost my wallet today on my way to thermo. Lost it. And this meant I spent all of thermo hyperventilating and about to cry. I got home and it wasn’t there and so everything got cancelled, credit cards and everything. I paid 44.70 for a new drivers license and just… yeah it was bad. But then I got a message on facebook from someone who had found my wallet :D

I got to campus and everything was still there except for 2 bucks and I was okay with that loss. But that was 44 bucks gone and never to return. Oh well.

Today is my parents anniversary. Yay, though apparently their anniversary is totally cursed. I probably didn’t help this year.

I also do not have class on Friday except for seminar. YAY.

Went to astrozombies today after picking up my beloved wallet.

Okay so now I have started GRADUATE SCHOOL in a class with more than one student (me).

ME520: Advanced Thermodynamics-

I think I am going to like this class. I know a lot of the people in it, and yes, the 22 guys to 2 girls ratio sucks but at the same time, I know the other girl, Carrie, so that makes me incredibly happy. And Joe and Ross are both in that class. The professor seems cool so really, I just have to survive.

I met up with Hunter and DK today for lunch, which was pretty awesome. I didn’t eat because I feel like crap but it was nice to see them and talk to them. I talked to hunter for like two hours and that made me smile.

I also hung around campus for an extra 40 minutes to say hi to Dusty. Not doing that again since pretty much it was a very boring 40 minutes for like 2 minutes of “hello and hello everyone else” so yeah.

Went to pub quiz. It was incredibly hard. Like incredibly. Still don’t feel so hot so I am glad that class doesn’t start until like 1 tomorrow. Still, blegh. Also music is isolating. I know that is a random comment, but seriously. It discourages interaction massively and it mostly annoying when you are in company. It’s pretty lame.

Anyway tomorrow is my other two classes… yay?

... Okay I confess. I bought like all of recent X-Factor. And some Blackest Night. I couldn't help myself.

Goddamn Legion of Superheroes and your oddly subtly “Wait wtf?” Covers. I have now caught up with Legion of Superheroes (which luckily is only three issues long right now, with issue four out on Wednesday) all because of the nice ambiguous and…. Interesting cover to issue 6. Which is not coming out until October. I have I mentioned how difficult it is to wait months between comicbooks? Because it is REALLY DIFFICULT.

In any case, I have them all now. And I am going to relish in them and possibly count down the days to issue 6, or perhaps issue 5, depending on if they actually kind of project the events in 5… :D

I ran around with Dusty again today. Target and a failed attempt at centennial. I now have dinosaur pencils and shot glasses. I have no self control.

Lindsay has moved into the dorms. She seems to be taking to it much better than myself. I am sort of jealous, but at the same time, I know it is in her character. I wonder when she’ll be back. I suppose eventually she’ll run out of clothes.

I have had yet more pizza. I think I am going to be very sick of pizza by the time I “grow up”. I mean really now.

I also am realizing slowly that my Fernando is missing. Really really missing. And that in his missingness, I will be down 2/3 of my best friends. And that is kind of difficult to think about for prolonged periods of time.
I have promised myself not to whine about it, or sulk too much. That’s rather childish and really, I have dealt with Sarah being gone for far longer without feeling the urge to bring it up on every possible occasion, except to remind that yes, I do know how it feels to be separated from my best friend.

In other news, Dusty is obsessed with Smallville Green Arrow. Who stubbornly refuses to wear a mask. So I kind of hate him… but he suffers from “He’s Ollie” syndrome and that doesn’t help his cause. If he was wearing a mask and a bit better at protecting his identity I would like him much more.

So I finally sat down and read Final Crisis. I focused and I finished it and… well… it was alright. Not my favorite arc at all but I mean, once I sort of figured out what the heck was going on it was alright.

I also read A Cry for Justice, which is so pretty on the inside, I just kind of stare at it because it really is like a work of art. The story makes me upset, but at least it is freaking pretty whilst doing so is all I have to say on the subject.

I am trying to organize. So far it is failing…

Really failing. Too many comicbooks.

Linds is heading towards the dorms tomorrow. This should be exciting.

SO I haven’t talked about Sherlock yet.

Sherlock is a BBC show that is based on Sherlock Holmes, in the 21st century. It’s actually pretty good. I like the actors and the characters are pretty well done. They are brought into modern times smoothly, with poor damaged John Watson and eccentric nutjob Sherlock Holmes. The actors are pretty amazing. John is played by the same actor who played Arthur Dent in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Sherlock is just… nice and ethereal looking. Makes them both feel otherworldly.

Personally I loved it. Love it? It ran for three eps and that was the original plan. And it was such a success that they ordered more. Only I have to wait like 8 months before that happens so I am kind of stunned and horrified they ended season one like they did. Must remember to recommend show to as many as possible.

Also, the fandom is batshit insane, more so than the Merlin Fandom. I browsed and I ended up like back 300 entries and it was only two days prior. Crazy.

So I am getting ready to surrender my computer to the rents so short post before I go off and play with Fernando.

I met Jason for lunch today. Ended up being a three hour affair. But he’s my Jason and I love him.

Unfortunately, this meant that I also got to think about comicbooks on my way home. Which meant that I totally lost control.

I now have all of brightest day except two JLA issues. I am so screwed.

No really, this will end badly and brokenly for me.

So time to surrender. Fernando talks tomorrow.

Wednesday again!

So I went with the kiddies to buy text books. Linds ended up with $700+ in textbooks.

I paid for my text books. Luckily I only had to get two, for about $230… ah engineering how I will not miss this particular part about you.

I got a text mid astrozombies. Fernando is having a party this weekend for the leaving. I am prepared to cry. A lot… It could get ugly.

So I trailed after Dusty today. We went to Cent, Target and Lobo Anime.

Cent was so she could check out books, so I got to show her the basement and such, which was pretty awesome because YAY basements.

We went by target so she could join me in this whole running thing. YAY FOR A BUDDY!

I bought Salvation Run. I couldn’t help myself. Deadshot, collected and they had ALL of it when it has never been released in TB? I am surprised I lasted as long as I did, srsly.

Pub Quiz tonight. Team: Hunter, Dk, Ian, Jamie and myself, the Wheezing Pigs. We were in first place for a whole few rounds. We were kinda totally stoked :):D

Now I have to read like 4 articles before my meeting tomorrow with professor…
