Ugh today was a long day. My feet hurt like hell.

We got up bright and early and headed off to Bandelier. This is my second trip this summer. Yes, my second trip. It was just as long as I remembered. I did not have a window seat this time though, so my sister turned into my makeshift pillow. Serves her right for not letting me have the window seat. We got there at around eleven ish. We did the main loop and then went over to the terrifying ladders, four of them, three of them about 40 long. I hate the ladders, mostly because I simply do not feel safe on them. But it is my adrenaline rush so I went. The ladders were so hot I was worried I was going to burn my hands. We also saw a deer from like three feet away. It was cute and kind of clumsy as it tripped over a rock. We then made our way back to the visitors center and ordered food from their little café. While we were waiting (said café takes forever) Yuka and I looked through the gift shop. She loved the fetishes. It was neat. We then went outside and ate our food and got to listen to the most annoying group of 5 years and under girls I have ever heard. One of them started the “and the next day and the next day and the next day” and I was tempted to get up and strangle the brat. We left, after showing Yuka around for a bit more.

On our way back we stopped at the Valle Grade and Soda Dam. Linds actually found someone she knew out there, which was funny and creepy at the same time. We finally headed back back on the highway and got stuck in traffic for some reason.

During the traffic jam, Yuka pulled out this box I had seen her carrying around and opened it. Inside were many an art work, set up like postcards that she had drawn thus far.

Monday was a Pizza

Tuesday was walking with the dogs

Wednesday she did in the car, drawing the scene outside of the windows, then drawing the view forward in the car, then drawing Bandelier. It was so awesome just to watch her draw. I was impressed and amazed

That night when we got back, she painted them, which was also a spectacle to behold as her brush just moved so fast and so well. I am still stunned in my girly OMG way.
