12-Wait
Kaylee waits her turn to see Alexzander, pondering whether this is normal, having an affair with your husband’s step-brother, all parties knowing and accepting and then Charlie leaves the office, looking tired and dazed having been posted as Alex’s bodyguard/co-chairman/”just-please-stay-tonight” all night before; he gives her a knowing look, giving her a light peck on the cheek whispering, “Your turn my darling wife.”
14-Change
“Um why are you carrying all that… weight when all you need is 4 pennies, 3 quarters, 2 dimes, and a nickel in order to… I do leave this place, you know?”
15-Hold
Kain fidgeted while he was placed on hold as he stared down at the little white card that had been shoved in his hands, hidden by a close hug and a whispered order before he was lead into a room to talk to the CEO of A.N.G.E.L.S. but he could hardly hear any of it because all he wanted was for the call to go through and for it really to be his best friend who he’s looked for on the other end of the line.
16-Need
Jerry knew that this was all his life had to be as he watched the young form lying in the bed, dreaming and scheming of what to do when this batch wore off to a reasonable amount, because Josh needed something to fight for and Jerry would always be his brothers cause.
17-Vision
Seeing Brian in that wheelchair, learning that he was in it most of the time, made Mike never want to see again.
18-Attention
“When addressing them you will never, ever, under any circumstances utter the question ‘Are you paying attention’ because they get pissy and will spend the next hour repeating what you said, what the man in the next room said, the status of the stock market, the weather, the number of cars that have gone past...”
19-Soul
The younger ones were the best because they still believed in the idea that they had souls; the older ones knew that any souls they had were lost in the first crunch of skull and splatter of blood.
20-Picture
It was that simple 500x500 jpg that did it, with her blood eyes and harsh look and how no one was holding her small, four-year-old hand.
that's all for today, and hopefully (read maybe with a few ponderings) I'll get to update tomorrow... i have a visitor...lol
