The election is over

The election is over. Obama is the new president. I am not as enthusiastic as my peers about who won. Don't nag me about it. My vote is my own and i can only hope that everyone voted wisely. It is a "move foward for black people" and a "step backward for civil rights". To quote a peice of flair i saw, if we are over racism, why does it matter if Obama is black. It was a sad day for Civil rights as prop H8TE passed in california, which was a suprise. the other few gay rights issues that passed (gay marriage bans in Florida and Arizona) were... well i wasn't aware they were on the ballots so i can't say if i expected it to be one way or another. The adoption ban in Arkansas (which technically says that unwed couples cannot adopt, not that gay couples can't adopt) was kind of a shoe in, which is sad but a sad fact none the less.
The speeches wer beautiful, and i still haven't gotten over whatever aflicted me last week as the mention of Obama getting his daughters a puppy made me cry. McCain's concession speech was beautiful and he proved himself to be quite the honorable man.
The election is over, and that makes me exctatic though. There were annoying people in teh sub that made me so tense i almost hurt someone. They were people in the sub asking me who i voted for (obviously pro-Obama) and when i said i wouldn't tell them who i voted for because i haven't told my own sister (who i tell everything), their attitude went from polite to hostile. It was upsetting and rude. And the plane came back. **hates planes**
Other than that, i did homework today and watched soccer with Fernando while we ate a late lunch. I watched the states turn colors. Got nervous every time that a state changed color. I also wrote some. Need to get some writing done before i have like 50 tests.
Well not 50. I have three tests next week. And my video game that i neeeed came out today. So i think i may snap and go buy it on friday. We shall see.
